| Conservation Concern: NONE Population Trend: Decreasing The Black-capped Chickadee is a common breeder in the CW Region. They are cavity nesters that are frequently found in many woodland habitats, both coniferous and deciduous. BCN eBird data indicates that this species is declining in our area. Note the sudden drop in 2003 which may be a result of the spread of West Nile Virus. |
