| Conservation Concern: 6PIF, FW Population Trend: Substantial Decrease The Bobolink is a fairly common breeder in northern portions of IL and IN, and northward. Bobolinks usually breed in moist grasslands or open shrublands. BCN eBird data shows a significant decrease of 6% a year in the CW Region. Restoration efforts at some areas have proven to be very successful, but this species is still on the decline and also faces many threats on its wintering grounds in the southern hemisphere. |
