BLUE-WINGED WARBLER | SPECIES INDEX | HOME |
| | Conservation Concern: 5PIF, WL-Y, FW Population Trend: Poorly Known The Blue-winged Warbler is an uncommon breeder in the CW Region. Prefered habitats include dense shrublands with canopy and forest edges. Although this species is on many regional watch lists, it appears to be on the increase in NE Illinios and NW Indiana. However, this species has been extending its range northward into our area, so trends here may not accurately reflect the trends in most other regions. Data on this species is still sparse, and some June records may represent late migrants. |
