CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER | SPECIES INDEX | HOME |
| | Conservation Concern: NONE Population Trend: Substantial Decrease The Chestnut-sided Warbler is a rare breeder in the CW Region. Breeding habitat includes open forests with dense understory, forest edges, and dense shrublands. This species' song may be frequently confused with other more common warbler species. BCN eBird data is too sparse to produce reliable trends, but short term data still shows a significant decrease during the past eight years. Removal of invasive shrubs may have a very sizeable negative impact on this species, but more study is needed. |
