Population Trend: Poorly Known
Credibility: Poor

The Northern Bobwhite is a rare breeder in the CW Region, fairly common to the west and south.  Nesting habitat often includes dense grasslands or mixed shrublands.  This species is rarely encountered on the BCN Census and accurate trends can't be estimated.  Most populations in the CW Region are small and very unstable, except for populations in SW Will County and southern Porter County, IN.
