| Conservation Concern: 5PIF, FW Population Trend: Poorly Known The Orchard Oriole is an uncommon to fairly breeder in the CW Region and common further to the south. Breeding habitat includes open shrublands, grasslands with hedgerows, and savannas. This species may be declining in other regions due to development and other factors, but BCN Census data shows that this species is on the increase in the Chicagoland area. |
