| Conservation Concern: 6PIF Population Trend: Substantial Decrease The Sedge Wren is an uncommon breeder in the CW Region. Breeding habitat includes moist grasslands with mixed forbs, marsh edges, and abandoned weedy fields. Short-term trend estimates indicate that this species has declined at an alarming rate during the past eight years. Long-term trends may be inaccurate due to a substantial increase in the amount of data gathered on this species in 2003 and 2004 during the Grassland Birding Blitz. |
