Population Trend: Substantial Increase

The Tree Swallow is a common breeder in the CW Region, less common to the south.  Breeding habitat includes cavities in trees (often near water) or in man-made structures such as bluebird boxes.  Short-term trends indicate that this species is increasing in our area.
