The Vesper Sparrow is a rare breeder in urban areas of the CW Region, becoming fairly common towards the collar counties.  Breeding habitat includes dry grasslands, abandoned fields, and agricultural areas.  This sometimes difficult to detect species is poorly sampled by the BCN Census and accurate trends cannot be calculated.
