BELTED KINGFISHER

The Belted Kingfisher is an Uncommon breeder in the CW Region and slightly more common to the south. Kingfishers typically nest in cavities along riverbanks. BCN trends indicate a large significant decline, however accurate conclusions cannot be drawn due to the small sample size and questionable coverage of this species by the BCN Survey.
