CHIPPING SPARROW

The Chipping Sparrow is a common statewide breeder. Breeding habitat usually includes open shrublands, savannahs, or forest edges with moderate to dense evergreens. The level of error for this species is high and accurate trends cannot be calculated. The survey does not adequately monitor residential areas where this species can be quite common.
