ROCK PIGEON

The Rock Pigeon is an abundant breeder in the CW Region. Breeding habitat includes building tops and ledges, bridges, and cliffs. This non-native introduced species has been a permanent resident in the US for many decades. BCN Survey trends show a considerable decline, but this largely urban and rural species is poorly sampled by the BCN Survey which focuses on protected natural areas. Photo: Lee Karney / USFWS
