RED-TAILED HAWK

The Red-tailed Hawk is a common statewide breeder. Preferred habitat includes forest edges, open woodlands, and hedgerows with mature trees. Trends show a significant decrease in preserved areas monitored by the BCN Survey, although the amount of error is high.
