WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCH

The White-breasted Nuthatch is a common statewide breeder. Preferred habitat includes cavities in mature woodlands with dead snags. This somewhat active species is fairly well detected on BCN Survey point counts in woodland areas. BCN Trend estimates indicate that this species is probably stable or increasing in the CW Region.
