Blue Grosbeak

The Blue Grosbeak is a very rare breeder in the CW Region, more frequently encountered farther south. Some small populations are present in Will and Kankakee Co. and east into Indiana, with occasional nesting attempts farther north. Habitat preferences are varied, but nests are often located in dense shrublands, forest edges, or hedgerows. Photo: © Norman Bateman
