Make a Direct Impact For Chicagoland Birds
Why Donate to BCN?
We are a 100% volunteer-led and staffed non-profit 501(c)(3) organization working together for birds and their habitats in the Chicagoland region through monitoring, species assessments, research, advocacy, education, and conservation. We focus on efforts that directly relate to and benefit our local birds, and as a regional organization we help local groups rally together to maximize our impact. A portion of our expenses are funded in part by dues from each of our organizational and individual representatives, but the remainder of our funding comes from donations that help us perform larger tasks including data analyses, database management, research projects, communications, public relations, and creating tools for bird conservation and habitat management.
The Bird Conservation Network is a U.S. nonprofit, tax-exempt charitable organization (tax identification number 36-4311870 ) under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. Donations submitted through donation forms on this site are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. No goods or services were received in exchange for this gift and the full amount is deductible.
Thank You to our Donors
As an all-volunteer nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with an ambitious mission, the Bird Conservation Network relies on the dedication of a corps of volunteers, modest dues from our affiliate organizations, and very importantly, contributions from generous donors. We gratefully acknowledge our recent donors whose generosity helps fund our goal to protect birds and the habitats they need to survive within the greater Chicago region. These efforts include monitoring programs, trends analyses, database management, research, advocacy, and educational programs.
