Ruby-throated Hummingbird

The Ruby-throated Hummingbird is an uncommon to rare breeder in the CW Region, fairly common in regions to the south. Preferred habitat includes open woodlands, forest edges, and shrublands with trees. Although possibly increasing in our area, the sample size is low for this uncommon, often silent, and easy to miss species. Photo: © Eric Secker
