Tufted Titmouse

The Tufted Titmouse is a rare breeder in the Chicago Wilderness Region, common to the south. These cavity nesters typically breed in very mature oak woodlands, often near ravines or sheltered areas. Updated BCN Survey trends are still uncertain for this species but suggest a possible slight decline. Photo: © Gregg Williams
