The White-breasted Nuthatch is a common statewide breeder. Preferred habitat includes cavities in mature woodlands with dead snags. This somewhat active species is fairly well detected on BCN Survey point counts in woodland areas. BCN Survey trend estimates indicate a strong significant increase for this species.
