Great Crested Flycatcher

The Great Crested Flycatcher is a common statewide breeder. Preferred habitat is usually cavities in open woodlands or forest edges. Although 2007 trends showed a possible decrease, trends in the 2013 and 2020 trends analysis indicate that this species is now increasing in the Chicago Wilderness Region. Photo: © Eric Secker
