House Finch

The House Finch is a common statewide breeder. Breeding habitat includes shrublands with evergreens, mixed forests, and urban areas. This species is poorly sampled by the BCN Survey. This species was introduced in the eastern states from out west and is thus of low conservation concern. This species continues to be plagued by a form of conjunctivitis which may impact their population trends. Photo: © Eric Secker
