BROWN THRASHER

The Brown Thrasher is a common statewide breeder. Preferred habitats include shrublands and dense forest edges. BCN trends seem to indicate that this species is stable in the CW Region; however, Midwest populations generally show more notable declines. This species has a high relative density in the tallgrass prairie region and therefore is a species of special responsibility in the CW Region. Photo: © Robert Hambley
