Hooded Merganser

The Hooded Merganser is an uncommon to rare breeder in the CW Region. This cavity nester usually breeds in high quality, vegetated marshes that contain dead wood or are adjacent to forested areas. This rare marshland species is not well sampled by the BCN Survey.
