Green Heron

The Green Heron is a common statewide breeder. Habitats used include heavily wooded ponds and marshland edges usually in relatively undisturbed areas. This species is poorly sampled by the BCN Survey, which does not adequately monitor wetland areas. Photo: © Eric Secker
