Horned Lark

The Horned Lark is a fairly common, but difficult to detect breeder in the fringe counties of the Chicago Wilderness Region and an uncommon to rare breeder in the immediate Chicagoland area. This species is poorly sampled by the BCN Survey, which does not adequately sample agricultural areas. Photo: © Jerry Kumery
