Marsh Wren

The Marsh Wren is an uncommon to fairly common breeder in the Chicago Wilderness Region. Breeding habitat includes marshes with tall, dense cattails or reeds. Birds are usually found in small colonies and are more often heard than seen. This marshland species is not well sampled by the BCN Survey. Photo: © Heather Secker
