Red-tailed Hawk

The Red-tailed Hawk is a common statewide breeder. Preferred habitat includes forest edges, open woodlands, and hedgerows with mature trees. BCN trends indicate that this species is stable in our area. Populations in agricultural areas, not well monitored by the survey, may have different trends. Photo: © Eric Secker
