Wilson's Phalarope

The Wilson's Phalarope was once a well-known bird of prairie wetlands. It is now a very rare breeder in the Chicago Wilderness Region. The Wilson's Phalarope was only confirmed breeding in a couple of locations among many years of sporadic and unconfirmed summer sightings.
