RED-TAILED HAWK
The Red-tailed Hawk is a common statewide breeder. Preferred habitat includes forest edges, open woodlands, and hedgerows with mature trees. Trends show a significant decrease in preserved areas monitored by the BCN Survey, although the amount of error is high. Populations in agricultural areas, poorly monitored by the survey, may have considerably different trends. Photo: © Eric Secker |
